Billerica’s Massachusetts headquarters is a public company of Bruker Scientific Instruments (Bruker AXS, Bruker BioSpin, Bruker Daltonics and Bruker Optics) and divisions of Bruker Energy & Supercon Technologies (BEST). The company was founded on September 7, 1960 in Karlsruhe, Germany, as Bruker-Physik AG by five people, one of them was Günther Laukien, who at that time was a professor at Karlsruhe University. Bruker develops and offers a wide range of professional and scientific analytical devices, including mass spectrometers.
